PARD Leopard Series User Manual
Introduction
This user manual will help you quickly get started with setup, safe use and maintenance.
Read the instructions carefully before using the device to ensure proper function and long service life.
Important precautions

Remove the insulation tape from the battery before first use.

Only use a fully charged 18650 lithium-ion battery (3.7V) .

Turn off the device and remove the battery if it will not be used for more than 10 days.

Avoid direct exposure to strong light sources such as the sun or welding – this may damage the sensor.

Store the device in a dry and cool place, away from electromagnetic fields (temperature: -30°C to +55°C).
-
Keep lenses clean and always use the lens cap during transport.
-
Do not disassemble the device without authorization – contact the PARD Service Center if you have any problems.
-
Note: PARD night vision and thermal imaging devices require an export license outside of Denmark.

Installation
1. Battery installation and start-up

Press the battery cover to open and remove the battery.
-
Remove the insulation tape.
-
Insert the battery with the + pole facing in and close the cover.
-
Hold down the Power button for about 3 seconds until the PARD logo appears on the screen.
2. Diopter focusing
-
Use the diopter adjustment wheel to sharpen the screen text and symbols.
-
The actual image will only be clear after the lens focus has been adjusted.
3. Lens focus
-
Point the device at the target and turn the focus ring until the image is sharp.
4. Compass calibration
-
Move the device in a figure-8 formation until the compass is calibrated.

User tips

Use original PARD cables and chargers to avoid damage.

When filming in humid weather, allow the device to dry at room temperature before storing.

Use Loop Recording (3–10 min) for continuous recording without memory issues.

Turn off WiFi during observation for longer battery life.
Maintenance

Clean lenses with a soft microfiber cloth.

Always store the device in a protective case.
-
Do not expose the product to dust, water or shock.
-
If the device is not working properly, contact Nieload support rather than opening it yourself.
